From social worker to photographer, Gwënael Saliou has had an interesting career. Nevertheless, his main interest has always been with other human beings. Whether he works for the press or for private companies, on land or in the sea, his portraits and photographic reports always stem from interaction. He has an inquisitive eye, but his work first and foremost focusses on putting forth the singularity of what it is that he photographs.

Now let's dream of nature,
For a better future,
Wrapped in greenery.
A moment of hope,
I n the darkest days.
A dream, just an escape
A reflection of lightness ...

I keep on dreaming
I dream
I’m dreaming about another world
A world where I’m a forest
But also a world where everything is possible.
I dream
They always say, ‘believe in your dreams’
The more I think about it, the less I think this is possible
But I carry on without caring about what other people think.
I dream,
I dream I’m dreaming about fairies, about breath, about legends and love
I’m dreaming in black and white, pink and red
I let my imagination run free on my sheets of paper.
I dream like children
I dream to see us all together
Without shame, without hatred, without violence, without suspicion

It’s easy to say « I want to become this »
They say « If you want to, you can do it » but not here !
Here, everything is complicated but I keep on dreaming.
